Getting to the Meeting
Getting to the Washington Plaza Hotel from Area Airports:
From the Ronald Reagan Airport:
The Ronald Reagan Airport is connected to the Blue and Yellow Lines of the metro system. If you are coming from terminals B and C simply follow the signs to the metro station. If you land in terminal A, you will need to take a shuttle to Parking Garages B and C to access a bridge that will take you to the metro station. Once at the Ronald Reagan Airport Metro Station take the Blue Line in the direction of Largo Town Center and exit at McPherson Square Metro Station. Exit the station using the 14th and I exit, and walk north on 14th Street for four blocks till you reach the Washington Plaza Hotel which will be on the right hand side of a traffic circle.
From BWI International Airport:
Using the MARC trains:
In the lower level of the terminal there are free shuttles that run to area parking garages. Take the shuttle that runs to the Amtrak or MARC stations it is about one mile. The MARC train costs 6$ and will take you to Union Station. Once at Union Station take the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove to Metro Center. At Metro Center you will need to change trains to the Orange Line in the direction of Vienna or the Blue Line in the direction of Franconia-Springfield, both located on the lower level. Take either line to McPherson Square Metro Station. Exit the station using the 14th and I exit, and walk north on 14th Street for four blocks till you reach the Washington Plaza Hotel which will be on the right hand side of a traffic circle
Using the Express Metro Bus:
On the lowest level of terminals A and B follow the signs that say public transit to the bus shelter. There you will take the BWI Express/ B30 which will take you to the Greenbelt Metro Station. This bus runs approximately every 40 minutes. At the Greenbelt Metro Station take the Green line in the direction of Branch Avenue to L’Enfant Plaza. There take the Orange Line in the direction of Vienna or the Blue Line in the direction of Franconia-Springfield to the McPherson Square Metro Station.
Taxis and town cars that travel to Washington D.C. are also available outside the airport.
From Dulles International Airport
The Washington Flyer Coach Service takes passengers from Dulles to the West Falls Church Metro Station. The coach will meet at the baggage claim area and leaves every half hour. Once at the metro station take the Orange Line in the direction of New Carrolton and exit at McPherson Square. The Washington Flyer costs $10 for a one way ticket and $18 for round trip.

On Riding the Metro:
The Washington D.C. metro operates under a system in which riders put money onto a card and a fare is deducted depending on the length of the trip. There are machines before entering the metro in which riders can purchase their card. Riders must scan the card at the gate before entering the boarding platform, and scan the same card while exiting the station. If you do not have enough money on your card there are machines before the exit where you can add money. The fare from the McPherson Square Metro Station to Eastern Market and Capital South is $1.45.
Getting Around Washington D.C.
Traveling to Citizens for Global Solutions from the Washington Plaza Hotel.
Walk South on 14th Street to I to the McPherson Square Metro Station. Take the Orange Line in the direction of New Carrolton or the Blue Line in the direction of Largo Town Center. Get off the metro at the Eastern Market Station. Once out of the station walk south on 7th Street. CGS is located on the left hand side of the street at 420 7th Street, and is a teal building.
To return to the Washington Plaza Hotel return to the Eastern Market Station and take the Orange Line in the direction of Vienna or the Blue line in the direction of Franconia-Springfield and exit the metro at McPherson Square Metro Station.
Traveling to the Lobby Day at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation (from the Washington Plaza Hotel)
Walk South on 14th Street to I to the McPherson Square Metro Station. Take the Orange Line in the direction of New Carrolton or the Blue Line in the direction of Largo Town Center. Get off the metro at the Capital South Station. Walk down C Street away from the Capital, and turn left on 2nd Street. Walk down 2nd Street until you reach E. Capital, and turn right. The Church is located on 212 E. Capital.
To get back to the hotel return to the Capital South Metro Station. Take the Orange Line in the direction of Vienna or the Blue line in the direction of Franconia Springfield and exit the metro at the McPherson Square Metro Station.
Walking Directions from the Lobby Day Meeting Area to House Buildings:
From the Lutheran Church of the Reformation walk towards the Capital on E. Capital until you reach 1st street. Turn left on First Street South East until you reach Independence Avenue. Cross the Street and turn right on Independence Avenue the House Office Buildings will be the first three buildings on your left. The Cannon Building is between 1st Street South East and New Jersey Avenue. The Longworth Building is between New Jersey Avenue and South Capitol Street. Lastly the Rayburn Building is between South Capitol Street and First Street North West. Total walking distance is between 0.3 and 0.5 miles depending on what building you are going to.
