Global Solutions PAC Brings New Allies to the 111th Congress

+ Back to the 2009 Spring Newsletter

During the past two years, Citizens for Global Solutions PAC worked hard to seek out and promote those candidates who would best champion the cause of global cooperation and partnership. While we celebrated the re-election of some of this country's most experienced and respected lawmakers, we also saw new leaders spring up who are willing to make the U.S. once again a respected partner in world affairs. We endorsed 183 candidates to our members and directly contributed to the campaigns of 44 of them, supporting the election of five new U.S. Senators and five new members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Global Solutions PAC, thanks to generous contributions from members across the country, dispersed $68,181. Part of the contributions came in the form of time and other resources committed by Global Solutions PAC staff, while the rest were in direct contributions to the campaigns of candidates. Our analysts chose well; 80% of all our contributions went to winning campaigns.

Out of 183 candidates Global Solutions PAC endorsed this election cycle, 160 of them won their races, giving us a success rate of 87%.
